Zero Degrees
A study into climatic extremes at the zero mark

This project looks at both polar and equatorial regions to consider the different weather events that collide along zero degrees latitude and longitude. From polar bears in the Singapore zoo to snow blindness in Antarctica, this research focuses on the inversions and displacements that take place with extreme weather.

Weather Permitting is currently developing an edited anthology, Zero Degrees, to be published during the International Polar Year, 2007-2008.
